Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will meet Kili World Born Safaris’ representative, and transfer to your hotel in Moshi town. The hotel will provide all the essentials for a classic stay: cozy rooms, hot water, polite staff, a swimming pool, and Internet access. In the morning there will be a briefing with our guides, who will also make sure you are ready to begin the cycling tour.

Begin your cycling adventure toward Lake Jipe. Ride through scenic farmland, banana plantations, and coffee farms, passing local villages along the way. Arrive at your lakeside camp for a peaceful evening by the water and a dinner under the stars.

After breakfast, continue cycling along quiet rural roads toward Same. The ride features a mix of flat sections and gentle hills, passing traditional homesteads, grazing lands, and small roadside markets. Stop along the way for refreshments and cultural interactions. As you approach Same, the terrain becomes slightly more undulating with scenic countryside views. Arrive at Jonson Villa for a comfortable overnight stay.

Today’s ride takes you through open landscapes near Mkomazi, offering wide views of savannah and distant mountain ranges. This section provides one of the longest rides of the trip, with varied terrain and rewarding scenery. After completing the cycling portion, transfer by vehicle into the Usambara Mountains, climbing to Irente Viewpoint. Enjoy cool mountain air and breathtaking panoramic views across valleys and plains.

Day 5: Free Day at Irente Viewpoint

Enjoy a relaxing day off the bike in the beautiful Usambara Mountains. You may take guided walks to nearby viewpoints, explore surrounding villages, visit local farms, or simply relax at the lodge. Birdwatching and photography opportunities are excellent, and the cooler climate provides a refreshing break before continuing the journey. This day also allows time for recovery and preparation for the remaining rides.

Descend from the highlands into the fertile plains. Cycle through rice paddies, banana plantations, and small towns, stopping to experience local life and interact with villagers. Arrive in Muheza for dinner and overnight rest.

Ride through tropical landscapes toward the Indian Ocean. Pass coconut groves, small farms, and fishing villages before arriving in Pangani. Relax on the beach or swim in the warm ocean waters and enjoy fresh seafood for dinner.

After breakfast, transfer by vehicle to Dar es Salaam or Moshi, depending on your onward travel plans. Take in scenic views along the route and rest after several days of cycling.

Rest in the hotel and transfer to the airport based on your flight timings.
