Tindiga Tented Camp is a small, authentic safari camp located on a hillside overlooking the Lake Eyasi ecosystem, with expansive views of the shrubland, Mount Masumbuku, and the Ngorongoro highlands in the distance. Perched just about 1.5 km from Lake Eyasi, the camp offers a genuine wilderness experience in one of Tanzania’s most culturally rich and ecologically fascinating regions. Built with local materials that blend seamlessly into the landscape, the camp’s setting captures the raw beauty of East Africa and places guests in close proximity to both natural scenery and community life, offering a refreshing contrast to the classic Big Five parks while still serving as a gateway to Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire.

The accommodation consists of 10 traditional cream-coloured canvas tents, each elevated with its own private veranda and en-suite bathroom featuring a shower, flush toilet, and essential amenities. Tents are designed with wooden furnishings, mosquito nets, and electric lighting, offering simple comfort in a rustic safari style. Communal spaces include a cozy dining area and bar built by local Datoga women, plus a small plunge pool for cooling off after adventures. Evenings at Tindiga can be spent around a crackling campfire under the vast African sky, while daytime activities such as nature walks, bird watching, and visits to the Hadzabe hunter-gatherer and Datoga pastoralist communities offer deep cultural immersion and memorable interactions with local tribes.
